Commissioners discussed projects for a proposed November 2010 SPLOST referendum at the April 14 meeting. Chairman Doug Mangham said from past board discussions, the SPLOST projects could include roofing the courthouse, renovating the courtroom, boxing the building’s gables and putting the rest of the SPLOST funds toward a new judicial complex.

Doesn't it make you wonder why Don Collins doesn't seem to get it? Was Don related to any of the people who owned the land for the judicial complex? Anybody know?
It is more than a landmark, it is a continually used building that could be remodeled on the inside to continue to be useful. Otherwise, it will be falling down in the middle of downtown Zebulon.
I think we will have to have a grant at this point to even remotely approach fixing the roads. It is a shame that we've spent so much money in this county over the last 10 years (tripling the budget in this period) but still can't maintain what is supposed to be maintained by these funds.
Look again also, your tax bill was for 8 months, the next one will be a biggy. Parrish won't have to worry about it since he lives with his mother. Your not from around here are you? New York City??
