Spalding County authorities are investigating the Friday shooting of a four-year-old child.

I think she is 4 and from what I have heard, she was shot by her twin brother??? I'm not sure but either way we should all keep this family in our prayers. Always remember to keep your guns put up, especially if children are able to get to them!

She is 4 years old. She was shot in the hip and in stable condition. Her father was an officer in Henry County. Parents should face charges if you ask me. If you can't be responsible, you shouldn't have children!!! Go to myfoxatlanta.com for more details.

That's what keeping guns in the house will get you, if they are loaded and not locked away. This father has no doubt learned his lesson the hard way. The children will have a story to tell when they grow up.

The little girl's father was an officer??? Well, shouldn't he have known to put away his gun(s)??

Anonymous. I did not write comment 2.1 or 3. I try to flag all the ones that I do not write, but some get by. I have stopped paying attention to them. I just hope the general public can sort out my writing from "this former Caterpillar co-worker." You would think when friends talk about "Karma and what goes around" so much, they would be above this level themselves.

I don't know who you think you are talking to but I was going by what we heard in MY department at work, thank you very much. I'm sure you "know it all" yourself, don't you? How could you possible not know everything, SLOB! Oh, and that's MRS. to you as well! Thanks for your "oh so helpful" 411. We all knew what happened though. I probably knew before you!!

If you think you know everything, then you should have enough common sense to know that accidents happen! You need to hope and pray everyday that nothing like this ever happens to you, because you never know anything is possible. It also is crazy to me that when things like this happen to every day citizens that get all kind of support, but just because the dad is in law enforcement, people want to hang him. I also, have a question for you, since you know everyones business. What are your thoughts of the nine year old who shot himself a couple weeks ago when he was home alone? Oh yeah, I forgot his parents were never criticized! I hope you have a GREAT day!!!
