Soda tax and the new government health bill

I want to be the first to say, "I told you so." They will tax whatever has the next highest consumption rate next. Stock up on french fries...obama and his "F" team are on a roll. I wish Allah would call him home. Our CURRENT government is what is bad for my health.

I am old and it was worth it to get wise. What is the difference in "today" and when my Mother was a pretty, young girl. Back then....less Government interference, regulations, labor saving devices, preservatives in food, vaccines, illegal immigrants, frivolous spending, drugs, etc. BUT they had more morals, longer work days with harder work, home-made, non-taxed liquor, more real butter from real cows, salt and sunshine as preservatives, more kids that took part in responsibilities of the family as a unit, (a walking toddler can pick peas and requires no baby-sitter with all those pea pickers around.)

So did they have crimes, tempers, murderers, drunken brawls, jails, Law Officials. Absolutely. The difference was...........if you hated a person bad enough to kill them, you better be man enough to call the Law and tell them to come and get you. That is what my Uncle told me.

He died "an old man in prison." Strangely enough, the last time I saw him.........he said "he would do it all over" and he did not seem sad, even after all those years. Parents will go to great lengths for their children. I would. Gotta run. I am looking for my Time Machine. Here it is. Back I go. eyb-eyb.

(I forgot to answer the main question...the difference in my Mother and me. Probably about 100 pounds.) And she was mighty pretty and smart when she went to Heaven. She cheated....she had Better Butter.
