We desperately need animal control laws here in Pike. I have had neighbors with dogs that run free and kell cats. They terrorixed the neighborhood and nothing could be done about it. I have my dogs in a fenced in back yard and in my opinion anyone who cares about their animals will protect them. We do need someone to protect our citizens and animals. I know we are a small rural county and that is one reason I moved here.

Your disregard for the lives of animals reflects your disrespect for people.

The owner should be fined, thrown in jail and never allowed to bred any type of animal or allowed to own any pets ever.

The really sad thing here is that in addition to all those poor puppies, there is a 10 year old girl living there.

Kathy, sounds like a good idea BUT, I recently reported a family who moved away and left 2 dogs, one with 3 small puppies, and 4 cats behind, and the Sherrif's Dept. has little to no power to do anything here in Pike county. The house had been foreclosed on and the "family", and I use this term loosely, left the place in a condition only a bull dozer should take care of, at best! M. S. 455 Friendship Circle, Concord Ga. IF YOU KNOW THESE PEOPLE, fair warning, if they don't come get these animals, the ASPCA will be getting involved and they WILL be brough up on Animal Cruelty Charges...which by the way, is a FELONY! I will make sure of this! We need Animal Control here!
