The Pike County board of commissioners approved Friday the adoption of the intergovernmental agreement for the Atlanta Gas Light line in northeast Pike. The contract allows the local Industrial Development Authority to pursue options for the installation of infrastructure and does not obligate any funds at this time. [Full story »]

Yet another young man has bolted from the Teen Challenge facility in Meansville. Patrick Berrane, 14, ran away Feb. 23 after only 21 hours at the center.
