Pike County High School Pirates baseball teams had a strong start to the 2012 season, with the varsity team going 2-1 to start the season and JV team winning their season opener. The JV will play Wednesday at home at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity Pirates will play Wednesday at Gordon College, Friday at Perimeter College and Tuesday at home for a doubleheader to start at 4:30 p.m. against Southwest Macon. Some would say Meghan Gregg has accomplished a great deal during her relatively short time as a varsity basketball player at Flint River Academy. A glance at the numbers would confirm that statement.The sophomore has been terrific during her two years as a starter and even a year as a super sub as an eighth grader.
