John (Big John) Holcomb was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Spalding County superior court Wednesday for the July 27, 2008 shooting death of Bruce Knowles. The shooting took place in the parking lot of the Griffin Moose Lodge. [Full story »]

For several weekends in January and February those who headed south of Zebulon on Highway 19 couldn't miss the hundreds of people gathered around a large puddle of mud, cheering on those who dared to drive their vehicles through it.
