Pike County High School students got a taste of the professional working world as they took part in Job Shadowing day in Pike and surrounding counties. Students learned about various careers by visiting Mid Georgia Ambulance, Griffin Animal Clinic, the Thomaston-Upson Airport, the office of Dr. Bennie Evans, Upson Regional Medical Center, the dental office of Dr. Frank Kirby, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Manley, Spangler and Smith Architecture, the Pike County school system and Pike County conservationist Ken Gran. The Pike County Chamber of Commerce sponsored Job Shadowing day and helped place students in suitable businesses.
