The Pike County Pirates claimed first place in the region with a 33-14 win over the Crawford County Eagles. On a muggy evening in Roberta the Pirates came into the game with a 3-0 record. The hapless Eagles were 0-2 as they entertained the Pirates. [Full story »]

Two of Pike County’s World War II veterans are struggling to make sure all the county’s veterans are properly recognized by restoring the veteran’s monument on the courthouse square. The two are members of American Legion Post 197 and have set up an account at First Bank of Pike for contributions to the Pike Veterans Club Memorial project. [Full story »]

The Pike County Health Department received funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to support vaccine purchase and administration. This has provided resources to offer a free dose of Tdap vaccine to all residents 10 to 64 years of age regardless of insurance coverage. [Full story »]
