Geology student Carissa Snyder of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville will be tracking fault lines through Pike County for the next six months as part of her master's research project. A Girl Scout saved a woman’s life Friday while delivering cookies with her mom and Scout leader. Brenda Fayard was leaving A Novel Experience to check out the new jewelry store across the square. The Pike County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation Jan. 21 that resulted in the arrest of Dwight Shaw Davis, 54, of Concord. Davis was found to be in possession of a large quantity of marijuana at his residence on Turner Road. [Full story »]
