This week the Pirates continued their march to the playoffs, extending their unbeaten streak to six games while pushing their region record to 4-0. On Tuesday, March 8, a depleted Pirates squad hosted the Henry County Warhawks in the first of a three game home stand. In a game that saw Pike County reduced by injury and illness, the squad fought hard in securing a 10-0 Mercy Rule victory. The Pirates relied on a strong offensive effort to keep the Warhawks on their toes and the ball in the offense third. In the seventh minute, Noah Hendrix opened the scoring book with a goal off a double assist from Levi Gehman and Hamp Swift. Just 11 minutes later, Hendrix struck again with an unassisted goal to push the score to 2-0.
