The Lady Pirates basketball team split the wins and losses last week for a 2-2 record.
Saturday they traveled to Northgate and lost 50-31. Molley Sexton led scorers in the effort with nine points.
Tuesday the Lady Pirates hosted Macon County. The game went into overtime and the Pirates won a nail-biter 57-56. Kyndal Deel lead all scorers with 15 points.
Friday the Lady Pirates kept their winning ways with a 36-33 victory over the Lamar County Trojans. Shaqueri Talmadge led the Lady Pirates on offense with 17 points.
The Lady Pirates traveled to Crawford County Friday only to be defeated by a score of 54-33. Sexton, once again lead the offense with 16 points.
Coach Helen Akins took her team Sunday to Athens to watch the Lady Bulldogs win for the 15th consecutive time. "The Lady Pirates had a great time and the college atmosphere was thrilling for our team," said Akins.
