Recent rumors claim Teresa Burousas attempted suicide recently in Upson County Jail. She is not currently under suicide watch at the jail after a Christmas Eve incident in which she used a pencil to try to cut herself.

Burousas is accused of killing her husband, Jimmie "Buzz" Burousas who was shot twice and found dead in his truck in the driveway of his home at 560 Caldwell Bridge Rd. near Concord.

"She did scratch herself on the wrist with a pencil. It wasn't a cut" said Upson County Sheriff Don Peacock. "She said she just felt depressed. Overall, she's been a pretty, decent model prisoner."

Why do taxpayers need to pay for a mental health doctor for someone who scratches her wrist with a pencil? Obviously she has mental issues or she wouldnt be where she is now. Let it go and wait for trial. We need to stop this free ride prisoner care issue.

The messed up part is that unless you are a criminal you cant get any kind of care. I am a single mom who struggles my butt off everyday to provide for my kids. I cant get insurance. I cant afford it. But if I murder someone or steal a bunch I can get medical, dental, mental illness and all kinds of other care. I can fake a gut cramp to take a trip to the E.R. and its all paid for. Thats crappy. Criminals are the only ones who have it all. Food, Clothing, someone who washes their clothes, cooks their meals, cable for free, no bills at all and they are taken care of. I say let her. If she wants to die let her go. dont keep giving her pencils. Step it up give her a spoon.. ohh no or some paper.. maybe she'll give herself a massive paper cut. Im sorry but I personally can not cry for these fools. Its attention. If you give it to them they will get worse.

Single Mom? How did you do that. You should have waited before you started struting your butt around. I'm sure the taxpayers are paying for your fun and faking a cramp in the EM room. We can't cry for fools who get knocked up and then call yourself a single mom.

So true, and for the comments to the single mom, I expect better of people.
Don't call yourselves Christians, those of you who had the ugly comments for the single mom.
I do need to mention, single mom, that the illegal immigrants can also expect a better level of health care than us insured patients, since Medicaid foots the bill.
Back to Borousas, she obviously was depressed at the holidays. If she is indeed guilty of her crime, it serves her right.

OH MY... ok let me say this to all of the ones with the nasty comments.. No I didnt get pregnant all by myself. No I wasnt crying on anyones shoulder or looking for pitty. I was married to the same asshole for 10 years. He happens to be a D.B.S.D. (dead beat sperm donor) for those who couldnt figure it out. It sounds like you made a mistake, like we all make. It also sounds like you are working hard to get your act together. The hard work you are doing will one day become intelligent advice for your children. America is still the best country in the world, even though I have even less respect for obama than I did clinton....which I thought was impossible. A poor person could go into the White House with some authority and balance the budget in a year. I totally believe we should help countries in need such as Haiti. It truly IS NOT the old America. The old America had speedy trials, swift justice and a draft that taught discipline to those who seemed to not have it at home. The streets would have less of a crowd, buying and selling, and the Military would be instilling pride to those who wanted to work for it. I miss the Old America.
