Security on death row at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison has been called into serious question in the wake of one suicide, one possible murder and the discovery of two explosive devices there in recent weeks.

Are these Death Row/Slime Line people allowed to have personal visitation......or do they converse through glass with a phone?

By the way, all my comments are for death row inmates. Not regular inmates. They committed crimes ....not murder.

Um... not every murderer gets the death penalty.

So some of the "regular" inmates are in-fact murderers. Some just as heinous as the ones on death row. It's just that the prosecutor did not pursue capital murder.

As long as they are killing each other why should we care. Death row will be alot less crowded in a few months at this rate.

Amen. If they would fill the needle or give them all ropes and a strong bar to hang from we know those slime balls wouldn't get out and do it again and wouldn't waste our tax money.

They are criminals.......Criminals will get their hands on anything they want. If they want something so bad they will get it. What else do they do but sit and plot about things all day long?

To bad Pike got the story wrong....According to Monroe Co. It was vasaline jars. There is also an extremely large presence of troopers and local sheriff's deputies and police around the prison and surrounding areas lately...may be more to the story

The story says the bombs were about the size of Visine bottles, not that they were made in Visine bottles. ... I do think vaseline jars are somewhat bigger tho.

I reside in Monroe but used to live in Pike. I have last weeks paper from Monroe and it says vasaline jars on the front page. Maybe I am unable to read correctly because of my Pike education lol

An explosive device is an explosive device. Vaseline jar or Visine bottle, what's the difference? Neither is going to do much damage, but it is what it is - contraband.
