Death row inmates threaten to take part in a hunger strike after the death of Leeland Mark Braley and Timothy Pruitt at the state prison in Jackson. There are now 105 men and one woman on Georgia’s death row.
On Friday, guards found 35-year-old Leeland Mark Braley hanging in his cell. Prison officials say Braley, sentenced to death in 1999 for the murder of a Zebulon insurance agent, apparently took his own life.

Let me be the first to commend you on your stand to starve to death. So many others feel that the taxpayers owe them food until they exhaust all appeals and game playing that is available to them. I, for one, am glad to see that even though you are murderers, you are man enough to starve to death. Your compassion for the taxpayers is very touching. The system will probably try to force feed you but "Just say no to food." Have a contest and see who can kill themselves first. (Hint....also quit drinking water and you will have the edge on the others.) If they try to force feed you...kill them...what are they going to do, put you on death row for eighty more years. If you really want to do this thing right.......flush your food down the commode and let them think you ate it. You will get the last laugh on them then.

Why don't all you ppl out there that is soooo darn concerned about these immates get a big pot and start boiling up some food. I bet once you went out and fed some of these fools you wouldn't go back in and give them another slice of your bread.

The Inmates are placing themselves in this situation, it is not the guards or any other prison employees. More than half the people who are taking up for the inmates have more than likely never lost a loved one from murder or rape than murder...or something of the sorts. If they had then chances are they would have a different opinion in regards to this situation. I believe a life for a life. This is the way it was back when...and the way it should be now.
So I say this: Let them Starve...Let them Take their own life...It is the least they could do for the families who lost someone so close and dear at the hands of these vicious men/woman. (I know chances are someone in there is not as bad as the others but as ASHIRLEY stated: "Old saying goes......One bad person can spoil lots of good ones..... "

Taking away the life of another is the highest offence that can be committed against the individual, and against society; and the highest punishment that a man can suffer for such a crime is the loss of his own life.
How can one rape a child anyways...that is just messed up...and very sick. It takes a very sick and unstable mind to want to do that. They deserve to be locked away...or better yet..That dang hunger strike serves them well cause the end results is not even close to what they deserve...
