The recent death of a Pike County murder defendant's mother is proof the accused's right to a speedy trial has been violated, his lawyers said this week.

This is just another attack for lawyers to use. He obviously killed that woman and he should pay the price for what he did. Are you saying now that any person who kills will get away with murder? Get a clue and start frying these people and it will save us $$ in the long run. It will also let murderers know that we are not gonna tolerate it. An eye for an eye people.

It's time all law enforcement do what Seattle police did to the cop killer. I wish the SO had just taken care of this problem when Weiss was cowering in his closet.

Yeah well Mrs. King didn't have a choice. Maybe this guys mom can explain to Mrs. King in heaven why her son deserves better than Mrs. King received.

i am sure ms kings family would love to be able to tell her how they love her and how they wish she had not been murdered by this man..but they cant.his lawyers need to stop wasting time and money on this man and let the justice be done...

Jamie Weis....you disgust me. Are you proud of yourself for being a cold-bloodied murderer? Was the elderly Mrs. King about to hurt you? Did you feel big and bad when you were cowering down in the closet? If a convict should send you on to the hereafter the way they did Jeffery Dahmer....they should let that person walk.

Do some of you not understand that Jamie Weis is a person too? He was high on drugs when he did this unspeakable crime he was not in the right frame of mind. Is what he did wrong? Yes it was horribly wrong but should we take another life? Is that really going to make up for the lose of another? No it is not....he has a family too and trust me this is really killing them....but if you all knew the Jamie that his loved ones knew you would know that he would not have done this if he had not gotten involved with the drugs. Should he pay a price for the crime he commited? Of course he should he has to live with the fact that he took the life of another person for the rest of his.....and that is a horrible thing to live with....just please for the sake of his family pray for him too.

Is Mrs. King still dead? Even after he came down off his drugs? If so, DEATH PENALTY. You said it will be a horrible thing for him to have to live with the fact that he killed a person. Then he probably wants to die anyway. Wouldn't you think? They should kill his lawyers with him for "stupidity." Dismiss the charges, how absolutely stupid!!!
