Pike to hire new county clerk

The Pike Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday night to hire Teresa Watson as county clerk for the administrative offices in downtown Zebulon.

Commissioners hired Watson following a short executive session. There was no discussion of Watson during open session. Watson has until Dec. 6 to accept the position offered by commissioners.

Watson's starting salary has not been determined yet, but it will range from $34,393 to $46,725, County Manager Steve Marro told reporters following the meeting.

Until Watson was hired, Pike had not had a county clerk in years. Watson is Spalding County's executive secretary. She serves under Spalding County Manager William Wilson Jr., who tendered his resignation Monday. Wilson's resignation becomes effective Dec. 30.

Teresa Watson sounds like a good well qualified lady for the job. Miss Alice ran Pike County very well and was honest. Tommy Burnsed did not need a county clerk and Tommy did well. Why would someone with Teresa's qualifications even consider working for the likes of a Carpetbagger Make It Happen or for the BOC who are losers?

Dawn Danielson still works for Pike County. She is the Code Enforcer Officer. Think her department was transferred to the Public Works Department to bust people dumping trash on county roads.

Teresa should talk with Dawn Dickerson and Sandrua Danielson before trying to find herself a strong career move. Some of the BOC members are not even high school graduates, the county manager is from New York City, the one running against Roosevelt Willis the truck driver did complete his GED. Spalding County has professionals compared to Pike County losers.

Teresa your career move to Pike County will be a step toward lowlight failure and never be a upgrade on a career move. McDonalds would be a upgrade.

Thing's are moving fast. The Polecat Chief Blogger supports Marro and his quick executive sessions to hire a person who has not accepted the job. JC and Marro have really put the lady and her career on the slide. Why should they care, Marro is on his way out and the other nut is a wanna b commissioner. They toy with a persons life.

Why did Marro pick someone from Spalding County? You know that really hurts all his Clayco friends. Marro might get called on Clayco carpet, not to mention Mayor of Lovejoy's carpet.
