funny that nothing is mentioned about state tests. Most parents don't know that schools give 'incentives' like this pizza party to the students who score the best on the state tests.They do this because the better the scores, the MORE MONEY the school gets.
Most parents also don't know that ALL they teach in schools now is what is on these state tests. To me, that is cheating.
I have not heard of a teacher YET that states he/she can teach what they want to teach, how they want to teach it. They are now mandated by the state and federal gov't on what to teach, how to teach it, when to teach it, etc.
Gone are the days of creativity, and actual learning.
All teachers can do now is spoon feed information into the students like robots so they can MEMORIZE , and not LEARN, these things so they can get good test scores so the schools can GET MORE MONEY.
Ask ANY teacher about NCLB, they will tell you all about it.
