I will vote no. Make them take it from me, I'll be darn if I will willingly give these idiots 1 red cent.
Bite this.......
Vote No Splost, we have been used enough.
CM Marro and the SPLOST has my vote of yes.
Oh, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
BTW, Steve Marro couldn't tell the truth if he was standing on it. The commissioners should have figured that out by now.
Parrish Swift now works for a gas vendor who has a contract with the county, is that a smart patriotic thing to do?
Oh, I did save money last night, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
Think I'm joking. Go check the property tax records of our elected elite. Discover the value of their property and the amount of tax they pay. You might be suprised to discover how much property is in conservation to.
Slost is just another means of smarter people getting not so smart people to vote a tax on themselves to reduce smarter peoples property taxes even more.
Say No to SPLOST
Say No to higher city and county taxes
Say NO to higher school tax.
It is time government balanced their books and stopped with the pan-handling the people, spending more than they got, and live within the alloted means. Tell them you balance your checkbook and they can learn to balance theirs. Tell them you have given enough and refuse to give any more!
The real power rest with the people - not a few that think of themselves as the anointed ones appointed to rule over people to stupid to think for themselves.
Splost is the only way everyone has to pay for services not just the homeowner. If this don't pass I will bet you we will have high property taxes. So its everyone pay or just us guys who own property. I just love sharing!!!
I believe, I know who is stupid. But I'm all ears so tell me how I'm misinformed.Waiting
When it comes down to it Republicans like spending money they dont have too
Vote NO Splost.
NO!
VOTE NO SPLOST !!!
Tweak and grease up and vote NO to Tax and Fee increases.
VOTE HELL NO SPLOST
VOTE YES
Please support your family and self, vote no on a tax Splost increase.
Don't tell me there are no motel rooms in Pike, here we have meeting rooms already paid for by overtaxed citizens.
Are yous peoples tired of bending over for a Carpetbagger and the BOC. Time to say HELL NO!
We are not going to take it anymore. The BOC has used us enough for their own special projects. The Carpetbagger is just building a resume since he was found unemployed in Flager County Fla. by Don Collins.
They have screwed us enough. Do not vote for a tax increase on yourself and family.
VOTE NO
VOTE NO MORE MONEY FOR STUPID BOC MEMBERS TO PLAY WITH!
VOTE NO!
But I will vote yes for the SPLOSt because this county will never get up to par with where it needs to be. At least with SPLOST everyone who stop s and buys something puts money in the pot. If this doesn't pass I would hate to see my tax bill to pay for these things.
You need to look at your taxes from this year
You lost your homestead exemption and you can thank Republican Gov Sonny Purdue for that tidbit. Its kinda like what Obama is gonna do with the Bush Tax cuts.Let them Expire without renewl....Tax Increase!!
Gov.Purdue let your homestead ememption off this coming years budget...TAX INCREASE!!!!
2 to 5 hundred per house>>>>>>Largest tax increase in GA history
Not bad for a conservitive Republican

The high cost of low cost ...just like wallmart
Be smart vote No if they raise your taxes Vote them out ...Very easy answer
Time to ask yourself, what is in it for me and my family? Nothing you have control over except your vote of NO. Do not tax yourself more for the BOC.
Vote no more damn taxes for dummies to spend.
Not a pennies went to her, she got no taxis broaks. She did it's fors the peoples. Shows some R-E-S-P-E-C-T-O-R-S.
VOTES EM YES on SPLOST
A yes vote for SPLOST is for Steve Marro's resume and spending money for the BOC. Vote no to SPLOST.
SPLOST is only going to cost an already taxed enough taxpayer more tax. Until the people say enough is enough, you are going to continue to get the shaft.
SPLOST - Vote No
our roads. Our officials are spending money on
projects that have little to do for the citizens of Pike County
I did not cheat Pike County out of $3000 thur a phoney CUVA last year but I did save last night, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
If you want to raise taxes stop misleading the public and the impact long term SPLOST projects will have on us. Long after these "new" initiatives are built like animal control, fire houses, etc.... It is the residents of the county who who be responsible to pick up the tab for wages and maintain those facilities long after a SPLOST vote. The only other recourse is for the Country Manager to offer us another property tax increase every year.
The economy is NOT recovering regardless of what the drones on TV tell everyone. Anyone who lived during the depression knows that. I say we regroup, make government efficient and vote out those who want to raise taxes especially those that "sugar coat" the real impact of SPLOST building projects. Now is not the time to spend money. Make due with what you have. I have to do that in my every day job.
