A Pike County man laid injured in a ditch for a considerable length of time here late Friday night after losing control of his motorcycle while dodging a deer and crashing.

Russell Scott is in the Macon hospital with his neck broken in two different places a broke knee and elbow, he has also suffered a collapsed lung, please keep him in your prayers
Damn Russell, I thought you had better sense than to ride a bike after dark during deer season.... I hope you get better soon. We are going to Wiskey River this weekend, I will try and stop in to see ya!
Any type of transportation is dangerous, especially during the fall when the hunters have the deer moving. Please be aware and watch the ditches and roadsides. If you hit an animal please remove it or have it removed from the road. A dead animal on the road can be just as dangerous.
