Leadership Pike requests funds for defibrillators, lamp posts

The Leadership Pike Class of 2009 is asking the community for help in raising donations for two projects which benefit local agencies.

Donations are being sought for the Pike County recreation department to purchase AED machines. These portable defibrillator machines are used to jump-start a heart in an emergency and can save lives.

Check it out on the Pollcat. Chief Henderson will discuss fire fees but you have to call one of two Pollcat administrators, they will filter your call and either give you his cell phone number or deny you.

I always love to learn. Until this article, I thought a defibrillator was a sex toy. I am glad I never tried to buy one.
