Mr. James Samuel Wilson, age 71, of Zebulon, passed away November 26, 2016, at Emory University Hospital. Mr. Wilson was born in Metter on January 15, 1945, son of the late James Elwood Wilson, Sr., and the late Ola Ree Wilson. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. James worked for Delta Airlines for 31 years before retiring. He loved the outdoors and was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Bobbie Youmans, brothers, Tommy Wilson and Lavohn Wilson.
He is survived by his wife: Dianne Wilson; daughter and son-in-law: Rebecca and Sonny Linebarger of Zebulon; grandsons: James Collum and Mason Collum; sisters: Barbara Ann Ferguson of Jonesboro, Nancy Keisling of Statesboro and Kay Steverson of Hiram; brothers: Ronald Wilson of Greenville, TN, and Elwood Wilson of Statesboro; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, November 28, from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Ison and Mr. Joey Grubbs officiating. Burial will be held on Tuesday November 29, at 2 p.m., at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Metter.
Flowers will be accepted, but those wising to make donations may do so to Open Arms Church, c/o of Rev. Terry Ison, 695 Williams Mill Road, Zebulon, GA 30295.
