The Lighting of Concord will kick off the start of a country Christmas, starting at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 in downtown Concord.

The Lighting of Concord will illuminate a country Christmas atmosphere starting at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 in downtown Concord. Festivities will begin with supper at the Concord Cafe and the arrival of Santa by helicopter at 6 p.m.
“While awaiting the special guest of honor, gather around crackling fire boxes with friends old and new or snuggle up for a hay ride,” said organizer Anita Neath. “Visit our Christmas Bazaar and find Christmas gifts for that special someone. Sing along to Christmas carols as we light the big tree.”
Santa will visit with children in the Strickland Building and a photographer will be on site.
