Mother, child recovering after vehicle flipped at courthouse

When a Ford Explorer smashed into a building on the courthouse square and flipped over, people rushed to help the driver, Samantha Ragusa, 23, of Lamar County, and her 3-year-old daughter Grace.

Lets just say I was eating in the resturant/Wings and Things and saw the Officer Duty Fire Officer and the waitress and others run outside to help and looks like the Off Duty Officer took charge and Tiffany was helping out bigtime along with a son and father and some others. Then soon after the Pike County Fire Chief and a Volunteer showed up and they all were working as a team to help save this critically injured mother and child. So Proud to live here and see all these good people. Dont think this type of help would have happened at many other places these days.

The family wants to thank everyone involved. Mother and daughter are doing great, all the prayers have work! Thank you all again for everything.

Thank you everyone for support and prayers the baby is home and is doing good and i came through surgery just fine. Hopefully I will be going home with in the week. I just wanted to say thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone that helped with my daughter.She is doing fine.
