The Obama administration is rethinking its course recommendations for students ahead of President Obama's address to the the nation's schoolchildren next week, rewriting its suggestions to teachers for student assignments on how to "help the president,"
The Washington Times reported Thursday that presidential aides acknowledged they helped the U.S. Education Department write the suggested assignments, which stirred criticism by many who say Obama is trying to indoctrinate the education system.

Even my 10 year old has opinions about our new president.
He is truly an insult to America.

President Obama Set to Address Public School Students On September 8, 2009
The Pike County School District will not broadcast the President’s address live. Parents are encouraged to view the video with their child and discuss it as they deem appropriate. The President’s remarks will be available at http://www.whitehouse.gov/mediaresources/ after school hours on September 8, 2009.
After the speech our education department is send out packets to schools on what they want the teachers of our school systems to teach our kids about the president...Their packett,
their questions,,,their ideas,,,Thats the real problem.
George Bush Sr. gave the same such message when he was in office, did we not allow students to see it then either?
This school board has kept making the most disappointing decisions. It's allowing personal biases and views to interfere with the education of our students. I don't care if you don't like him or not, he's our President and you should give him the respect he deserves.
Hopefully one day soon, the imbeciles that hold positions on the school board will be replaced by people who actually care about our students' education.
If I want my child to watch in the school setting where I think it is most applicable, he/she is not allowed to. So this parent doesn't get to choose; a decision is being forced on me.
