The death penalty trial of accused murderer Jamie Weis is on hold pending his appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court.
Superior Court Judge Johnnie Caldwell Jr. of the Griffin Judicial Circuit signed an order Aug. 25 continuing the trial.
Weis’ trial at the Pike County courthouse had been set for the weeks of Oct. 5 and Oct. 12. Caldwell, noting the state’s highest court has docketed Weis’ appeal, ordered “the trial of this case is hereby continued until further order of this court.”

It is time to put these preditors to death or make themn sleep on the grave of the person they killed without the benefit of food. The current judicial system is a good old boys system--You got a good lawyer and money you play it like a banjo. The taxpayers pay for your jolly. Sad.

If you dont know Jamie, dont judge him. and if you dont know what actually happened then dont post a comment. He is paying his time for something he suppsivly did.

He had in his possession things that belonged to Mrs. King. If he didn't do anything why does he want to die so badly?

Just suppose this was one of your family members facing the death penalty. Just suppose out of the blue someone told you your family member was accused of such a crime would you be so quick to say fry him? You dont know all the circumstances and you are judging for what YOU think you know about him. God is his judge. He has no jury Yet...So let up Both familys are suffering for this unfortunate accident. Pray for him and the King family dont sit in his judgement.

Killing someone is no accident. Wether it be your family member who did it or the family member that was killed. Either way it hurts. And what is fair is fair. He killed someone. I dont care what kind of life he lead or what he has been through that doesnt justify killing an innocent person. What could this 73 yr old lady possibly done to deserve to be killed. Obviously he was judging her, by killing her, he was judging it was her time to die. So how can you say not to judge him. Now to the family member or whoever it is anon. taking up for him, suppose it was your Grandmother that was killed by someone. How would you feel? What would be fair in your eyes? You can never say never until you have experienced both. But what im saying is he did the crime now it is his time to pay for what he has done. I dont care how innocent he was in his past. Im tired of hearing all the crap about this convicts saying they were never like this before. Well before doesnt account for now. He needs to be fried for what he has done. I would say the same thing if it were my family member. Because what he did wasnt right and Im sure he knew that and knew his consequences once he was caught. Too bad for him. He should have made better judgement.
