Volunteers with Humbly Serving Ministries decorate Christmas trees with angels that share the name, age, top three Christmas wishes and clothing sizes. Citizens are asked to adopt an angel to help local children in need.
Angel Trees to help local kids this Christmas season
As the Christmas season starts, Angel Trees will be placed at various locations in Pike County to help provide gifts for local children in need. Names of children will be placed on angels on the tree and include their top three Christmas wishes as well as their shoe and clothing sizes. Citizens are asked to adopt an angel and help a child's Christmas wishes come true.
The Angel Tree program is supported “by our community’s kind hearts and giving spirits,” said Faye Schneider of Humbly Serving Ministries.
Applications for families to be listed on the Angel Trees will be accepted Monday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1-4 at the old cotton gin in Williamson across from City Hall. Applicants are asked to bring proof of address, income and utility bills.

Where are the trees located?

The trees were cut at TNT Christmas Tree Farm on Thanksgiving. We will add an updated story when the locations are determined for this year. Last year they were at American Pie, Georgia BBQ in Williamson and a few other locations. Thank you!
