Organizers of this year's Back to School Bash are asking that reams of copy paper be donated to help reduce the financial strain on teachers. The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 15 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the old middle school building.

Pike County’s annual Back to School Bash will be held Saturday, Aug. 15 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the old middle school building.
The Back to School Bash is for primary and elementary school families of students kindergarten through fifth grade.
A special “Pay it Forward” is planned for this year and participants are asked to bring a pack of copy paper and drop it off the day of the event.
“We want to be able to give the copy paper to our teachers to help them cut down on personal expenses,” said volunteer Emily Meadows. “If you can’t bring copy paper, don’t worry, come and enjoy the day and get a book bag of school supplies.”
