District 4 Public Health wants parents and employers to know that flu-like illness is being reported in communities within the 12 county Region. Because only a small portion of persons with respiratory illness are tested for novel H1N1, confirmed and probable
case counts represent a significant underestimation of the true number of novel H1N1 flu cases.

My gosh, how many times do we have to read the same thing over and over? My prediction is that swine flu is going to be about as big as Y-2K was.

You prediction is probably wrong. This is a pandemic flu. It is the same flu that killed over one million people in the 1950's.

The regular flu influenza is responsible for 36,000 deaths in the U.S. every year.

Y2k was very very big. I work in the IT field, it cost my company half million dollars to fix ,but we had it fixed up front. Like most all large companies did. The cost was billions of dollars. For you to think it was not big you should thank all the people that worked so hard for it to turn out the way it did.
I just hope we can stop the H1N1 from being something big. But as it stands right now, we are in trouble. Many people will die for this.
