This is ridiculous. There is no office with a shower; it's just your excuse for being crass. If you really want to know, why don't you show up at the high school and ask to see it. But nooooo, you're just going to continue to make inuendos so that you look all witty and clever. You get an F in that department.
Good grief. Have you been to this shower? No, because it doesn't exist. Geez. Get over it.
And a lot of the teachers do feel jerked around. The three schools were doing well (before the transfers) and making improvements in education. This has been a difficult adjustment for many teachers.
They should have asked two of them to resign. But then again if everyone in the school system resigned whom were having extra marritial affairs we would have only half our teachers.
That's ridiculous. You have no clue what you're talking about. I worked in the system for years. I've never met so many wonderful teachers. The teachers are the backbone of the system and the reason Pike got the reputation it currently holds and may lose if the Board doesn't stop making frivolous decisions and allocating money to stupid things. I love my son's teachers, all of them.
While the residents of Pike County gossip and complain, we teachers will still be working hard to teach the children in our schools because no matter what is going on within the district, our job is to give the children the best education that we are able to give them. We may not be happy with the situations that arise, but once we are in the classroom, our focus is the children. For those in the community who choose to gossip and complain, maybe you should think about the children as well.
Sincerely, a poorly paid teacher who loves her job and is tired of seeing so much hatred towards things in our community
Thank you for this comment and for speaking up for the teachers. I love my job and thoroughly enjoy working with the families and children that walk through my classroom door each day.
Please remember to keep the family members in mind when making ugly and hurtful remarks about the employees and former employees. Put yourselves in their shoes and reflect on what comments might hurt you or your children and then don't say them.

Thank god for the teachers. As a matter of fact, I just finished emailing my son's teacher letting her know how I much I do appreciate her. Maybe some of these other parents need to do the same thing. The reason people want to live in Pike County is for the school system, well who do you think makes the school system so good.....its the teachers!!! They are underpaid for what they do for our children. Thank god they have the desire to teach our children because without them where on earth would our children be. I have the utmost appreciation for teachers and what they do.
How uplifting this is. As a teacher (formerly in Pike), I can't tell you how much these things mean to me. So many days I was close to walking out...and someone like you would do something like this. I try to remember how this makes me feel and return the favor anytime I see someone doing a good job, giving good service, etc. I try to let them know I appreciate it, because I know how few people actually do so. Thank you again.

Well you are very welcome. I truly mean what I said. Please always know that there may be ones out there that moan and complain about everything but there are more parents out there that feel the way I do. You teachers are wonderful and please keep doing what you do!!
I have one daughter that makes all A's and she is treated wonderfully. My other daughter who struggles in school is treated horribly. I have been so disappointed in her teachers. They are mean and hateful. And have no business teaching. I would recommend that they read the book My Thirteenth Winter. Its all about the struggles that a learning disabled child goes through. Some teachers have NO business teaching.
It is sad that you are having such a hard time with her, but as a teacher, one experience is typically not the norm. It is heartbreaking for me to know that your daughter may not be getting what she needs, but please remember, most of the teachers are very loving and caring and we go into the profession for the sole purpose of the children.
its not the teachers fault pike county is known for having administrators looking at the students in a way they shouldn't. its not the teachers fault known affairs go on right in front of their face and the students faces. everyone knows the two have been having an affair for a while. pike county is small and its not hard to figure out whats really going on. they could have hidden it better. the teachers do a great job its the administrators and higher authorities thats starting to give pike county schools a bad reputation.
For something that so many people supposedly know about, there are just as many who don't know or care. Again, teachers are here for the children and I know for a fact, as a teacher, that our administrators at all of the schools have been doing wonderful jobs trying to better our schools. If everyone worried more about their own, and less about the lives of others, this would never even need to be brought up!
And a lot of the teachers do feel jerked around. The three schools were doing well (before the transfers) and making improvements in education. This has been a difficult adjustment for many teachers.
