The traffic was a nightmare! They really need to do something about it.

Well you know all(or most) parents want to take their kids to school the first day of week depending on their age. Right? We had at least 80 new pre-k students and no telling how many new that started k that never went to pre-k. Just be glad this is Pike County and not somewhere else that would have been much worse. Traffic will die down beginning Tuesday and the days after. This article is asking about your kids first day not the parents.When you got back home wasn't it quiet for you without them there saying they were borded? My kids had a great first day as did lots of other kids. Years age traffic was a lot worse that today so just that the good lord above that you were able to get out and get in the traffic because everyone don't have the same privilige to experience what you did this morning.

Hwy 18 is a nightmare trying to get to work. I came to a dead stop behind endless vehicles behind a bus about 1/2 mile out from the light.

The first day of school is about education, not traffic.

My child had a good day at school, made friends, learned some math, played, and had fun.

It was a good day.

My kids had a great 1st day back to school and were excited to do it again today!!

My children were so excited to go back (one in Middle School & Primary)!! Hope they continue to jump up and get ready so quickly.....dreaming, I know.

the first day was great,as far as traffic goes it will be okay in a few days..just remember this to shall pass

The first week or so of school~there is always a lot of traffic. That's just a given! And as far as the first day.....it was awesome! My girls had the best day and it sounds like their teachers are going to be great. We are super excited about this year!
