Carry on, you are in for a great career.
We appreciate your service.
Seaman Apprentice Jimmy Foster, I salute and applaud you.
Go Navy!
Of course, that comes with a price. She will belong to the Navy for 8 more years at least.
She's been on 4 long deployments, one of which was chasing pirates in the Gulf of Aden for 8 months aboard a destroyer in sweltering temperatures and humidity of 300%. (Her words, not mine.)
She has secured a spot at Officer Training Command in Newport R.I. for next summer.
The military offers lots of opportunity, but you have to be willing to go after it.
Congratulations to this young man and his family. And I agree with Mr. Mickle, a submariner is a whole 'nother class of beast. These young men are psychologically tested to make sure they can stand the rigors of being in that craft.
May God richly bless this young man, and all our military members.
