Pike should be proud of the way our sports programs have taken off like a rocket in the last few years. every time I open this paper, one of our teams are contending for top honors in some sport or another. It's wasn't that long ago that teams looked forward to playing Pike, it was like a sure win, but now, teams get a knot in their gut when the hear that they are playing ANY team from Pike county. Hat's off to our great kids, and to the great coaches that have brought Pike county to the top of the list in "teams we don't want to play"! Go Pirates!!!!
