Hiking more than 2,200 miles in five months with a heavy backpack will make you or break you. Jeremiah Manley accomplished the feat with determination and lots of bug bites.

Jeremiah Manley hiked more than 2,200 miles along the Appalachian Trail, leaving from Amicalola Falls in north Georgia March 25 and finishing the trek at Baxter State Park in Maine Aug. 18.
