Pike County residents can enjoy two parades this Fourth of July.
They can start with the children’s parade in Concord in the morning, then in the late afternoon attend the eighth annual Independence Day parade sponsored by the Pike County Emergency Service Auxiliary. The latter procession kicks off the Pride of Pike festivities.
In Concord, children can decorate their bikes and line up with the fire trucks before saying the Pledge of Allegiance in the center of town. The annual kids’ parade steps off at 10 a.m. before heading down Main Street to Roseview Drive, then to Hill Street and back onto Main Street.
