Find out how a shoe, a damsel and a hopper help operate century-old grist mills at the next meeting of the Pike County Historical Society. Longtime Pike County resident Jerry Spinks will speak on the mechanical operations of antique mills, local grist mills and the cultural importance of the mills and millers at the Thursday, March 21 meeting. The program will take place at 7 p.m. in the J. Joel Edwards Public Library meeting room.
