First cases heard in renovated courthouse
Bailiff Bill Shivers returned to the Pike County courthouse for the first cases heard in the newly renovated building Friday, March 8. He served as bailiff in the Pike County courtroom for eight years and retired two years ago. He served as a Georgia State Patrol officer for 30 years, as a military police officer for four years and as an investigator for the law firm of Chris Edwards for five years. He said the courthouse renovation was much needed and well done.
