The formation of Cross-Pointe Christian Academy’s football team began last season with an eight man football team.
Greg Hood, employed by the Pike County sheriff’s office and the team’s offensive coordinator, started the ball rolling when he proposed to CrossPointe’s ad-ministration to begin the team. Due to unexpected circumstances, he was not able to begin the initial season but generated enough excitement that parents moved ahead and convinced another parent, coach Wallace Wetherbee to coach.
