Several readers reported receiving escape alerts regarding the Teen Challenge facility here Sunday night.
They said the alert referred to the escapee as dangerous.
Pike sheriff Jimmy Thomas reported that, as of 8:30 p.m., he had received no such report.
I bet it was in one of those little brown bags like the "ghosts of commissioners past" found when they approved Teen Challenge.

On 11-30-06, Gray Edward Neal gave the land to FAG of Griffin Georgia Inc., reason being, Love and Affection.
On 12-01-06, THE NEXT DAY, FAG gave the land to Teen Challenge of Florida, reason being, Love and Affection.
Those mean old people of FAG are just mighty rude to give away that gift of $350,000 after Gray Edward Neal loved and affected them so much.
Face it folks, things are not in black and white here...just a bunch of Gray. (Edward Neal)
Now Florida owns a parcel of 36.1 acres ($350,000) TAX FREE land at the South end of Pike County.
With so much love and affection floating around, the taxpayers of Pike were screwed.
Florida sent a note of appreciation.
It said, "Thanks Suckers."
The Pike County commission voted 3-1 January 27, 2009 to approve a special zoning exception to allow Teen Challenge to operate a boarding facility, school and ministry for troubled teenage boys here.
FAG was given the land and gave it to Florida three years before the two worthless commissioners of 2009 (not Tommy) voted for a special exemption to let the crooks in.
They had faith in the future, didn't they? Especially after being rejected on their first deal.
