Mr. Jacob Clay Woerner, age 13, of Williamson passed away October 12, 2012. Jacob was in the 8th grade at Pike County Middle School. He loved sports and the outdoors. He attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Molena and was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Woerner.
He is survived by his parents, Clay and Debbie Woerner; brothers: Cole and Luke Woerner; grandparents: Fern Woerner of Hampton and Glenn and Beckie McGraw of Woodbury; aunts and uncles: Kent and Kathy Woerner of Tiger, Scott and Marianne Woerner of Sautee Nacoochee, Christi and Mark Friend of Williamson, Tammie and Steve McDaniel of Gainesville and Brian and Tonya McGraw of Newnan; great-grandmother: Kate Garner of Brooks; numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 16, at 6 p.m., at the Pavilion, 460 Aerodome Way, Griffin, GA 30223. Pastors Mark Harris and Jimmy Wright will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Monday, October 15, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to United Bank, beginning Monday at 11 a.m., for a special project in memory of Jacob. Moody-Daniel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
