Family members surround Leslie Brown who underwent two transplants just months ago. A fundraiser will be held Saturday at the Christ Chapel Student Center on Highway 19 to help with medical expenses.

Family, friends and community members are hosting a fundraiser for Leslie Brown of Concord to help pay for the expensive medications needed after a recent liver and kidney transplant. The event will be Saturday, Aug. 11 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Christ Chapel student center on Highway 19. It will include live entertainment, games for children, a cake auction, big ticket item raffle, door prizes and barbecue plates.
