Help local family at Aug. 11 event
Leslie Brown of Concord received a liver and kidney transplant April 21 at Emory Hospital. A community fundraiser will be held Saturday, Aug. 11 from 5 to 9 p.m. to help with the cost of the procedure and required medications. The event at the Christ Chapel student center on Highway 19 will include live entertainment, games for children, a cake auction, big ticket item raffle, door prizes and barbecue plates.
