Pike Historic Preservation recently received a Georgia Humanities grant to bring two presenters for a subject with homegrown roots in Pike and adjoining counties. The local non-profit, whose mission is to find ways to preserve and rehabilitate Pike County’s historic buildings and landscapes, has received $1,800 to present “Lightning Strikes Twice: Legal and Illegal Whiskey Making in the South.”
