The late Eli Bishop, a former Pike County firefighter, sits on his grandfather’s high crop tractor. He helped his grandfather Dale Duncan, a member of the Flint River Tractor Pull group, install the flag pole on the tractor to display the American flag during parades. An event in Bishop’s honor will feature a tractor, truck and lawn mower pull June 23 in Molena.
Tractor pull, fun day to honor Eli
A special tractor pull event will be held June 23 in remembrance of Pike County firefighter Eli Bishop, 19, who died in a car accident June 20, 2011. He joined Pike County Emergency Services as a high school senior and had plans to pursue a career as an EMT.
