Maddox will not seek reelection
Incumbent Dist. 127 state representative Billy Maddox, who represents all of Pike County and a portion of Lamar County, in the state legislature announced Friday he will not seek reelection.
this is merely a superstition and holds no truth whatsoever. it has its roots in african-american folklore. the mystic beliefs of voodoo are where this superstition arises from.only the left hind foot of a rabbit that was shot or caught in a cemetery during a particular phase of the moon is considered lucky so odds are your rabbit's foot is not. i spoke to the rabbit. he said if he was caught, no part of him was lucky.
The influx across the US border is causing a political outcry in the state, where the federal government has set up five temporary shelters to deal with the growing numbers of young immigrants.
From October to the end of April, the US government has detained more than 6,500 unaccompanied minors who had crossed the border, nearly double the number detained in the comparable period the previous year, according to US officials.
Most of them come from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, countries that are close to Mexico's southern border, and generally range in age from 14 to 17, though some are younger.
(Bring them on in, give them food stamps, free cell phones, medical care, an education and a right to vote....we have money to burn in the U.S.) It simply amazes me that we can control every border in the world except The Border Of Our Own Country.
