The killer of Pike County resident and Clayton County sheriff deputy Richard "Rick" Daly has been in court this week facing charges of malice murder, felony murder aggravated assault of a peace officer, gun possession while committing a felony and more. Jonathan Bun was 17 when he fatally shot officer Daly last year on July 20 as Daly attempted to serve an arrest warrant for a previous alleged armed robbery.

That quote from the above story is what Bun claims.
That's what happens to me when I watch "The Real Housewives of Wherever" by accident. I'm relatively sure that if I had been hiding from the law and had a gun in my hand, I would be alert to everything that was happening around me.
I am terribly sorry for the loss that Deputy Daly's family has suffered. I hope some measure of justice will be served.
WHY isn't the death penalty being considered? We have no morals left in this country.
I have no food and I am hungry, I have no bed and I am tired, I have no insurance and I need medical care, I have no TV and I need entertainment, I want a free cell phone, etc. I KNOW! I will kill a cop and say my mind was blank. Taxpayers will play Santa Claus and give me all these things "until death we do part."
Newsflash.....Jesus has decided not to come back. Would you?
I respect our law officers so much. But our court systems set TOO many convicts back on the street TOO often after they are arrested TOO many times.
May God bless the loved ones of Mr. Daly.
He should have received a few years for stupidity after making this goofy statement:
"If I wanted to kill him, I would have aimed for his head. I thought police under their uniform wore Kevlar. I aimed directly at his chest."
