A robust crowd of citizens of all ages were present this noon in downtown Zebulon on the courthouse lawn to come together in prayer for our nation on this 58th annual observance of National Day of Prayer.
Music was provided by the choir of Old Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
Local Pastors Kenneth Koon, Concord Baptist Church; Clarence Burton, Neal Baptist Church; Terry Ison, Nazareth Baptist Church and Travis Ferguson of Old Mt Calvary Missionary Baptist Church led the crowd in prayers for our nation, our security, our military and their families, sanctity of life and protection of marriage.
Arielle Watts led the Pledge of Allegiance.
