Jackson Street in front of the Sheriff's Office will be closed starting Feb. 20 for as long as courthouse construction continues.
Road closed for construction
The portion of Jackson Street to the north of the Pike County Courthouse, from its intersection with Highway 19 southbound at the Courthouse Annex to its intersection with Highway 19 northbound at the Sheriff’s Department, will be closed Monday, Feb. 20 until construction is completed on the courthouse in about 12 months.

Is it true a petition is being passed around to rename Jackson Street to that of a local community organizer? I will personally fight that name change. Might as well rename it Biscuit Street.
