Suspected burglar arrested
The Pike County sheriff's office arrested a 17-year-old suspected burglar on Monday, April 20.
Investigators arrested Greenville resident Kirstin Hill in Meriwether County. He was released on a $12,000 bond. Additional arrests are anticipated in this case, according to sheriff Jimmy Thomas.
Hill was arrested following an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred on Highway 18 near the Meriwether County line.
Police said the victim returned to find three people had forced entry into the home. The suspects fled the house after realizing the victim had arrived, said Thomas. The victim gave detectives a detailed description of the suspects' vehicle and the intruders who fled the scene.
