10-year-old shot in Spalding

Investigators with the Spalding County Sheriff’s Department are currently looking into a shooting incident that happened on Saturday Jan. 7. According to Sheriff Wendell Beam deputies were dispatched to the Spalding Regional Medical Center reference to a 10 year old child being shot. The 10 year old was rushed to the hospital by his father from a residence on Caldwell Road. The father stated that his son was playing outside when he came into the residence and told his father that he thought he had been shot.
